Hello!

My name is Micah Rauch, and I am a creator of art.

I have always found creating to be a very magical process. There is just something so wondrous about the ability to transform a blank space with lines and shapes and telling entire stories with just an image. Creators have this ability to reach into the void and bring a new creation into the real world that did not previously exist, and I love it.

This magic captivated me from a very young age and one of my earliest memories of drawing is laying on the kitchen floor with a large roll of butcher paper and a mess of crayons and markers strewn about me as I scribbled away. As long as I can remember, art has been a part of my life and something I wanted to chase.

Drawing and painting have been my artistic focus throughout life, but I went to school for graphic design, and I spent some time in the field. I found that it often lacks a soul and started to steal mine. I will admit that I have felt very lost as an artist since then but have begun turning back to more artistic and illustrative pursuits. As I get older, I have realized that I just want to make cool shit. I want to explore and have fun with my creativity. I want to try new mediums, to tell stories, visit far off worlds, ignite powerful feelings in people, and to find my voice while I have time left in this life.  

I was once asked why do I make art, why do I create? It is because if I don’t, it feels like my very spirit begins to hurt and wither away.
